Use the routing number printed by your bank, not a number from a search result. Micro-deposits or an instant-verification service are the usual checks. Revolut will tell you which one it is using. Do not share online-banking passwords with a third party that is not the verification step the app itself opened.
The card you spend with is a different topic: debit or credit, Visa or Mastercard. If a message says your account is frozen until you pay a “release” by transfer, that is a scam pattern, the same shape as Chime scam refunds.
